Covid-19 Response 2021-2022

The Board of Management and staff of Scoil Naomh Bríd have been working hard to make our school response to the government’s guidelines for dealing with Covid-19 in our schools.

We have made a ‘Covid-19 Response Plan’ which includes:

  • Policy Statement

  • Risk Assessment

  • An outline of the practical steps that we will take in our school

  • Videos to welcome the children back to school and informing them of the changes to routines in Scoil Naomh Bríd

Please find them at the links below:

Easter Note to Parents and Guardians

 9th April 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to remind you to download the Aladdin app so that from 20th April you will receive children’s homework from the teachers. I will resend the codes today to those people who have not yet downloaded the app so that you can do so. Please also enable notifications so that you get noticeboard messages.

For those families who signed up for the school lunches during COVID-19, Ace Catering will be doing a grocery box delivery, one box per child, today, Thursday, 9th April at 3pm in the car park of St Mary’s Hall. They ask that those families who have signed up, drive up with your family name visible on paper at the car window, ‘pop’ open the boot of your car. Ace Catering staff will put the groceries in the boot. They ask that you empty your boot so there is enough space for one box per child. They also ask that you do not interact with Ace Catering staff. It is likely that these deliveries will take place once every four weeks.

I hope that you are enjoying the Scoil Naomh Bríd website and also the photos of current and past pupils on our Facebook page. Thanks to those of you who are endeavouring to source past 6th class photos for us.

This part of the letter is to the children.

Myself and all the teachers are missing you children so much  and cannot wait to see you all when we get back to school. But you all know that we must do this difficult thing of staying away from friends and from school.

We know that you children have been working hard at your school work which we sent you in the post. We are looking forward to seeing all your work when we return to school. If you cannot keep all your work please ask your parents to take a photo of it.

Now that we cannot go to school to photocopy your homework , beginning on 20th April, all the teachers are sending your work on the Aladdin app, which your parents will have to download on their phones.

I hope that all the families of the school will have a happy, healthy and holy Easter. I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Yours Sincerely,

T Ward

Principal

The sign-up is now closed. Those who signed up will be updated on the arrangements as soon as they become available.
